Ansar NC was founded in 2025 by a group of students of knowledge who were deeply moved by what they learned about zakat, its purpose, its beauty, and its power to transform lives.
What is Zakat?
Zakat is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, an obligatory act of giving that purifies wealth and strengthens the bonds of community. Every eligible Muslim gives 2.5% of their accumulated savings each year to those in need.
Unlike voluntary charity, Zakat is a right that belongs to the poor. It is not a gift, it is a return of what was already theirs.
